My love for reading started at a shockingly young age—so young, in fact, that I managed to become notorious for reading a book a day throughout grade school (and got in a lot of trouble for reading in class!). While other kids were outside playing, I was curled up with a book, probably plotting my next “masterpiece.” My early works, which consisted of stapled-together printer paper featuring stories about animals, princesses, and poetry (the latter being, let's just say, a work in progress), were not exactly literary gems. But my mom seemed to know something the rest of us didn’t and always thought I was going to become a writer.

I love knowing how people tick and went on to get a degree in psychology and conflict resolution studies. But in 2022, it was romantasy novels that reignited my passion for reading. I tore through every romance book I could get my hands on, enjoying the swoon-worthy dynamics but also feeling a little bit of FOMO—because I realized that I wanted to write those stories too.

Now I live in Canada with my husband and two cats (who undoubtedly have a lot to say about her writing process), I spend my free time cooking, gaming, and hanging out with my loved ones. But let’s be real—there’s a good chance I brought a book with me.
