Stella was going to have a fatal disease gene which contributed to her wanting to do as much adventuring in her young life and her not wanting to have a relationship because she didn’t want to leave people behind in the event that the disease presented itself and she died.

Home Brewed was the only book that was written chronologically.
For To Go, the first scene written was the one in the closet when Stella and James meet
For Book 3, the first scene written was the opening scene, however, it was patchworked together by writing a variety of scenes that were eventually worked into something that flowed together.
